Since reopening in February this year, our Multi-Sensory Building is already delivering demonstrable, positive outcomes for the autistic young people with complex needs who live and learn with us.
Introducing the winners of the Planting Throw Down 2025/26

The results of the Prior's Court Planting Throw Down 2025/26 are in, and the winners are a combined group of young people from Summerhill, Autumn and Beechcroft Houses with eight weekly wins across the year. A weekly win goes to whichever house has planted the most seedlings in the Potting Shed that week.
Bamboozle Theatre goes down a Storm

Over three days, Prior's Court welcomed Bamboozle Theatre Company to perform Storm, a multi-sensory piece inspired by Shakespeare's The Tempest. Storm is immersive theatre for autistic young people, designed to be experienced rather than watched. The intimate setting within our Piper Arts Centre let the performers engage with each young person directly, drawing them into the story.
Corali dance company brings inclusive dance to Prior's Court

Corali Dance Company visited our Piper Arts Centre to perform for and engage with the young people at Prior's Court - and it made for a truly special afternoon. As one of the UK's leading inclusive dance companies, Corali brought their energy and artistry directly to our autistic young people, with interactive performances designed to put them right at the centre of the experience.

A clip of a discussion on a news channel is currently doing the rounds, where a speaker's personal experience involving people with learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions in a community cafe setting, as well as some recent high-profile events (if you class nearly 10 years ago as recent).

Dexter and Otto's hair cut success

Earlier this month, two young people from Prior's Court achieved something major - they went for hair cuts out in the community. For a lot of autistic young people, haircuts can be an overwhelming experience - this is all the more so with the learning disabilities and other diagnoses of the young people we support.
Tanium enjoy a turf-filled day of volunteering

Five familiar faces (and one new one) returned to Prior’s Court yesterday to take part in a day of volunteering, battling dirt, grass, lost shoes, ants, and changeable weather conditions! The film explores the challenges, perseverance and love that shape the lives of autistic young people with complex needs – and highlights how the right support can create lasting impact well into adulthood.

Minibus transport service for staff

We offer our Autism Practitioners minibus transport service to and from our rural site, meaning you do not need to be able to drive to work at Prior's Court.
