Prior’s Court has launched its Christmas Appeal 2025, One Wish, One Gift, One Magical Moment, inviting supporters to create uplifting, accessible festive experiences for autistic young people with complex needs.

Christmas can be a magical time, but the season also brings sensory challenges - from bright lights and unfamiliar smells to crowded spaces and loud music. The appeal aims to ensure every young person at Prior’s Court can enjoy Christmas events and experiences in a way that feels calm, safe and full of wonder.

Through the generosity of supporters, the appeal will help bring, in December 2026, festive moments directly to autistic young people with complex needs in an environment that meets their needs.

Natalie Norris, Fundraising Manager at Prior’s Court, said: “Christmas should be a time of delight for every young person, and the One Wish, One Gift, One Magical Moment appeal helps shape celebrations that are truly meaningful, accessible and suitable for the young people at Prior's Court.

"This includes welcoming reindeer so young people can meet Santa’s companions in a familiar setting; creating a festive feast with quiet, comfortable areas to enjoy Christmas lunch without sensory overload; hosting an adapted SEN pantomime performance designed to be engaging without being overwhelming; and arranging personalised visits from Father Christmas, with individually selected gifts that reflect each young person’s unique preferences.

"Each donation will light up a star on a virtual Christmas tree, reflecting the difference you have made this festive season and helping create magical moments that last a lifetime."
