Students from nearby Downe House School, in Cold Ash, paid a visit to Prior's Court at the start of July to continue our ongoing work together. This was part of Downe House's annual MAD (Make A Difference) Day, an annual event where the whole school dedicates an entire day to local causes.

The group of 44 students were getting creative by designing a banner to put up on our Track on-site for our Olympics Week event which is a series of sporting challenges for the autistic young people we support ahead of the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics in Paris later this summer.

And, the group also got stuck into making individualised signs to help cheer on the young people participating in Parallel Windsor for Prior's Court on Sunday, 7 July. The signs were all individually designed so that families and supporters can hold them and cheer the young people on as they go by.

There was also time for a spot of weeding out and about in our beautiful grounds.

This visit by this group followed on from the students at Downe House School choosing to fundraise for Prior's Court at their recent Sports Day.

This visit by this group followed on from the students at Downe House School choosing to fundraise for Prior's Court at their recent Sports Day. In addition to their amazing volunteer support, AGS house, one of the residential groups at the school, has chosen to support Prior's Court next academic year, so watch out for more fundraising, volunteering and sharing of music from the students there.

Thank you to the group for their volunteering efforts and helping us improving the lives of autistic young people with complex needs.
